Berada di ketinggian sekitar 900-1.500 Mdpl, kawasan Malino merupakan tempat favorit untuk melewati akhir pekan. Di ketinggian ini, kawasan Malino memiliki suasana yang sejuk nan segar. Berada di kaki Gunung Bawakaraeng, selain udaranya yang sejuk kawasan Malino juga memiliki banyak tempat wisata. Oleh karena itu Malino sangat tepat untuk mengabiskan waktu di akhir pekan. Pemandangan di kawasan puncak Sulawesi Selatan ini juga berbeda dengan pemandangan Pulau Sulawesi pada umumnya. Selain rerimbunan pepohonan dan hutan yang menyelimuti perbukitan, Anda juga akan menemui pemandangan pedesaan yang masih asri. Dengan ketinggian tersebut, di bagian dasar air terjun terbentuk kabut sejauh 20 Meter. Karena tekanan air yang cukup kuat, terutama di Musim Penghujan. Di area ini, air terjun ditampung oleh kolam kecil. Disitu juga terdapat bebatuan vulkanik dengan ukuran yang cukup besar. Akses
Kawasan Malino berada sekitar 90 Km sebelah Tenggara Kota Makassar. Dari Kota Makassar, akses untuk menuju ke Kawasan Malino relatif cukup mudah. Dengan lama perjalanan sekitar 1,5 sampai 2 jam. Sedangkan Air Terjun Takapala masih berada dalam Kawasan Malino.
Harga Tiket
Harga tiket untuk masuk ke Wisata Alam Air Terjun Takapala relatif cukup murah, yaitu sekitar Rp. 2.000 per orang.
